This image represents the microstructure of Gallium and Iron oxides on a gold alloy (Au 75% wt). The alloy contains Co, Ag, Ga and Fe also. Such oxides grow on the surface on cooling the alloy from the melting temperature (1350°C) and appear brown when observed with naked eye. The image was obtained in high vacuum mode with the ESEM XL30 TMP Philips Electron Microscope. The small marker at the right bottom of the image represents a length of 5 µm (0.005 mm).To buy a 300 dpi image..
